The rebuilding of I-64 (also know as Highway 40) will be a major undertaking in 2008 and 2009 that will affect transportation through the west corridor of the St. Louis region. This page has been created to give our Fox patrons access to information and links that will assist with navigation during this time. The links above provide access to up-to-date travel times and mapping alternatives around the construction.

Current News:
On January 2, the outer 5 miles of the construction zone, from I-270 to I-170, will be closed and remain so during 2008. Some things you should know in planning your trip
- Heading east on I-64, most traffic will be diverted north and south at I-270, with one lane going to Ballas Road.
- The work on I-170 should be completed by then, with the southbound traffic diverted in two lanes onto the new ramp that will carry traffic eastbound on I-64 from that point all the way to Grand Blvd. (the Fox exit) and beyond.
- Westbound I-64 from the Fox will be open to I-170. Two lanes will carry traffic from there north on I-170.
There are excellent drawings on www.thenewi64.com (look under construction zone) that show in great detail how traffic will flow between the interstates during construction.

Directions to the Fox Theatre
There are many options for getting to the Fox Theatre during the I-64 construction. Some of them include: |
- I-70 - take I-70 east to the Grand exit, and turn right onto Grand to the Fox.
- I-44 - take I-44 east to the Grand exit, and turn left onto Grand to the Fox.
- I-64 will be open from I-170 east to Grand Boulevard and beyond. If you are coming from east of I-I70, continue to the Fox as you normally would. If taking the Vandeventer exit, turn left and continue to Washington Ave and then turn right and continue 2 blocks to the Fox. Or take the Grand exit, turn right and continue to Washington Ave. turn left.
- Manchester – take Manchester east from your point of origin or from I-270. You can head north at Hanley, Hampton or Kingshighway and pick up the open portion of I-64 and continue east to Grand or Vandeventer. (see above.) Or you may continue on Manchester all the way to Vandeventer. Turn left onto Vandeventer continue to Washington, and then turn right onto Washington to the Fox.
- Olive - take Olive east to I-170 south. From I-170 you can access either Forest Park Parkway heading east or I-64 heading east. In either case, you can exit at Vandeventer or Grand.
- Page – take Page east to I-170 south. From I-170 you can access either Forest Park Parkway heading east or I-64 heading east. In either case, you can exit at Vandeventer or Grand.
