This is a full-time salaried position which includes weekend hours depending on event schedule. The Event Coordinator works under the direction of the Vice President of Food and Beverage. The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing and presenting the food and beverage services of the Fox for private functions, catered back stage artist meals and dressing room hospitality, weddings, meetings, and all other private or sponsored events. The Event Coordinator strives to exceed customer expectations and hygiene standards by creating a memorable experience through hospitality. The Event Coordinator calculates budgets and financial targets for the events and manages details like choosing the event location, arranging the schedule, selecting speakers/entertainment, choosing vendors, selecting menus, procuring rental equipment, and creating and distributing marketing materials (invitations, flyers, advertisements). They work with Operations to supply technical service, lighting, and video and audio requirements for the event and are also expected to be on site the day of the event to oversee set-up or perform the set-up themselves, and to troubleshoot any issues that might arise.

Event Coordinator - Responsibilities
• Conduct on-site tours of the Fox and promote private events
• Planning, organizing, promoting, facilitating and coordinating different types of events
• Monitoring and coordinating the timeline of an event
• Preparing event reports and guidance and information pertaining to the event to the clients
• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the service staff personnel as well as subcontractors. Ensures adequate staffing for events and schedules set-up, technical, stage and other crews accordingly; supervises service staff during events.
• Prepares event budget and calculates metrics to ensure proper food, beverage, and labor costs
• Ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and protects the assets of the Fox Theatre
• Ensuring that quality client/customer standards are upheld at all times
• Ensuring the Fox event venue is ready on time
• Preparation of event contracts, departmental function sheets, and event set-up diagrams
• Scheduling events and coordinating appointments
• Creating and revising plans and layouts for different events
• Liaising with the client to ensure that their needs are effectively met
• Ensuring the event location fulfils all building, health and safety requirements
• Acts as an ambassador to the Fox in and outside of the work place.

Skills and Specifications The Event Coordinator must be sociable and a people's person and must love interacting with people. They should have a cheerful and pleasing disposition, along with being approachable and having a pleasant personality. They need excellent interpersonal skills to be able to work as a mediator between other departments, management and their clients. They must be detail-oriented and very organized; to manage the many details of sometimes multiple events. Written and verbal communication skills are important because event coordinators must be able to interact with a variety of people ranging from vendors to company management to attendees. They must be able to work under pressure and be willing to work with tight deadlines. The Event Coordinator must also be flexible and capable of multi-tasking since many of the actions required to manage an event must be arranged concurrently. The events coordinator must have good leadership and organization skills, must be able to train and motivate their crew and have good communication skills. They must have extensive knowledge about the food and beverage so that they are able to help clients decide on menu selections.

The Fox Theatre is seeking several Accessible Service Attendants with experience in customer service. Duties include assisting patrons with disabilities by rolling wheelchairs in and out of the Fox Theatre, to seats, concessions and other areas. Attendants are assigned to patrons for the entirety of each performance. Must be physically capable of safely and comfortably, lifting a patron from one mobility device to a theatre seat or vehicle. Attendants will be considered if they have a professional, clean appearance and are well-spoken. Internet and email access is a must for scheduling purposes. Fox Event Services is looking for a team of on-call banquet servers with experience in banquet serving and servicing buffets. Duties include setting up for events; serve food and/or beverages, bus dishes, and other tasks assigned by supervisors. Servers are required to have availability on matinee shows, evenings, and weekends as needed for events. Servers will only be considered if they have a clean, professional look, and who are well spoken. Internet and email access is a MUST for scheduling purposes. MetroTix is currently accepting applications for Ticket Sales Representatives. Duties include processing incoming ticket orders by phone and/or in person, and performing other business-related tasks as assigned by management. High school diploma or GED equivalent is necessary, some college is preferred. Previous data entry and/or customer service experience is preferred. Work hours are flexible and can be tailored to the individual employee's availability. Day, evening and weekend hours are available.
